Abstract (EN)
In this study conducted to determine the risk factors in terms of occupational health and safety in the beekeeping industry; In the light of the data collected by face-to-face and in-depth interviews with employees in a total of 13 beekeeping workplace in the Upper Çoruh Valley and Bayburt province, which have an important potential in beekeeping, the Fine-Kinney risk analysis method is used to protect against ergonomic, physical, biological risks and especially pesticides and bee diseases. Occupational exposures to the chemicals used and residue-based chemical risks and precautions to be taken in honey, which is of great importance for public health, are presented. As a result of the risk assessment, 5 ergonomic, 4 physical, 6 chemical and 2 biological risk factors were determined. As a result of heavy metal analysis performed on 13 honey samples, heavy metals were detected in all samples, but it was determined that only 2 samples did not comply with the maximum heavy metal ratios recognized by the FAO-WHO Combined Food Codex in foods. As a result of medicine used against bee diseases and pests residue analysis and pesticide analysis, sulfametzine in 3 samples, tetracycline in 2 samples, streptomycine in 2 samples, coumaphoz in 2 samples and amitraz residue in 6 samples were detected and no mothballs residue was detected in any of the samples taken.
