Abstract (EN)

Safety risks during archaeological excavations vary depending on the period and working methods studied. These losses are excavation environments that can lead to accidents for the operation of construction equipment during architectural restoration processes. The most important security problem in Anatolia, especially in mound excavations, is sections. When the sections used to change a mound and make it look spectacular are larger than one meter, there is no risk of distortion in each section. High sections must be supported safely. Collapse of the section and failure under the collapsed section is a very common situation during mound excavations in Turkey. With this chosen topic, it is aimed to investigate the perspective on occupational health and safety in archaeological sites and to reveal the data that needs to be collected during archaeological studies today. It is aimed to eliminate major injuries, even accidents that may result in death, during excavations and to process information about these accidents and injuries. In this thesis study, it is aimed to elucidate issues such as conditions in field studies, risk factors, risk assessment and establishment of the relationship regarding occupational health and safety.
