Redif Organization; as being parallel with the regular army in the center, soldiers were not keeping at the barracks in general, the military training year is given at specific times, which is configured to not disrupt agricultural production, will be utilized for providing the provincial public security and a Regional Army has been established to support for the main army during the war time. Within this system Kütahya, including the creation of Redif battalion and one of the centers of man as a barracks for soldiers. About the military service, especially began with the reform and progress during the modernization efforts throughout the 19th century; recruitment, active duty time, replacement status, give consideration, military education and training, clothing, has led to some regulations in the field of armaments and equipment. The Redif system and also Redif battalion of Kütahya has influenced by these changes which is occurred in military service. During the 19th and 20th centuries Redif battalions in Kütahya fought on many fronts including the Ottoman geography, many tasks, such as maintenance of public order and the suppression of internal rebellion and are used on the floor due to the excess of tasks and vast area of the Redif army. Kütahya barracks; after removal of the Redif Organization in 1912 during the War of Independence and the Republican era has continued to serve to soldiers. The physical representative of Redif Organization in Kütahya which is "Redif Barracks'' and it's functions and architectural features, is considered as a whole with Redif system .Any of Kütahya Redif barracks and outbuildings unfortunately not survived until today. Only remaining in photos Kütahya barracks complex; making a comprehensive study of the subject by means of documents has emerged the face of day at first.
