Abstract (EN)

Atâullah Hacı Reşit Ağa, born in Erbil, has been interested in literatüre from a very young age. Atâullah Ağa, himself a poet and man of letters, compiled handwritten poetry journals. From these handwritten journals, it is eviden that Atâullah Ağa received a good education in literatüre. The journals he left behind will cntribute significantly to our literary and cultural history. These journals provide an opportunity to bring many poets, poems, and texts to light, introducing and adding previously unread and undiscovered works to our literature. In this way, they fill a significant gap in the literary world. Recognizing the potential contribution to Classical Turkish literature, we have undertaken the task of bringing to light the handwritten poetry journal of Atâullah Ağa, demonstrating its biographical characteristics, and considering it an important service to our literary field. This study involves the transliteration and examination of the handwritten poetry journal of Atâullah Ağa, which is part of the personal library of Nesrin ERBİL, the daughter of Atâullah Ağa, a prominent figure in Iraqi Turkmen literature. The first 200 pages of the extensive journal form the subject of our study's first section. In addition to the poems of poets from the Erbil and Kirkuk regions, the journal also contains biographies of some poets under the title "tercüme-i hal" (translated state). Therefore, we found it appropriate to include the phrase "demonstrating biographical characteristics" in our thesis title. We believe that these biographies in the journal will also make significant contributions to our classical literature. According to MESTAP, our study includes a content table, Atâullah Ağa's life, and the translated text sections of the journal. Key Words: Atâullah Ağa, journal, poetry, poet
