Abstract (EN)
During the humanity history, one of the major problem of the cities having collective life has been unfit infrastructures. Infrastructure investments are quite high. Mistakes had been done caused uneconomical spending of national resources. Affirmative studies must be done to solve Infrastructure problems and to not to carry over them to coming generations. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, by invention of plastic, plastic found place in every section of our lifes and it facilitated conditions of life. According to development in plastic technology it has been used in infrastructure materials and also in waste water collecting systems. Most of the problems occured in waste water collecting systems occured because of the improper materials chosen and faults done during the application. In this study pipes used in waste water collecting systems are assessed according to their efficiency and suggestions about infrastructure investments in the future are submited. In the first chapter of this study that consisted of five chapters; the aim and the importance of study have been emphasized. In the second chapter, properties of waste water and their effects on pipe lines and properties of HDPE and concrete pipes have been explained. In the third chapter, method of the study and Gömeç county that is used as material in the study have been established. The first chapter consisted findings that obtained from the conclusion of the studies in thesisi. In the fifth and last chapter ,results of the study have been explained and it is more profitable to use HDPE pipes having 200 mm, 300 mm, 400 mm diameters and concrete pipes having 500 mm diameter and over in the waste water systems that will be constructed in the future. KEY WORDS : Sewer, Infrastructure, Pipe, Concrete pipe, HDPE pipe.
