Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to deal with the working and efficiency of European Union Emission Trading Scheme, and also to metion about its effects on economy and enviroment as an economical tool. This study consist of three chapter. In the first chapter of the study, the terms of global warming and climate change are explained. In the next chapter of the study, attempts struggling with climate change and in the last part of the study, European Union Emission Trading Scheme are examined in detail. As a result, European Union Emission Trading Scheme is failed to satisfy with the expectations fort he time being, but if neccessary arrangements can be achived, it is predicted that the functionality of the system will be secured.
