Abstract (EN)

Education is the principal factor for developing technical skills and adapting tovarious aircrafts? maintenance standards for maintenance department employees ofaviation industry in a fast changing technology era.Both multinational structure of aviation industry and international agreements inaviation area constrain the constitution and realization of aviation standards. Thesestandards are critical in flight safety.Therefore, education and development of Turkish aviation maintenanceworkforce will be more effective in maintenance training organizations which utilizeEuropean Aviation Standards, in Turkey?s process of accession to the European Union.In this research, we first defined the term of Human Resources Management(HRM), Human Resources Management functions and the terms of Education andDevelopment in Human Resources Management.In the second part, the definition of Civil Aviation and its operations, civilairways and aviation firms, and national and international aviation regulationinstitutions and national aviation legalizations are analyzed.In the third and final part of this study, we proposed a structure and defined theprocess for aviation maintenance organizations to improve their aircraft maintenancetraining performance by investigating the European Aviation Standards. The structureand process guide aviation maintenance organizations in appropriating EuropeanAviation Standards which is important in the process of joining European Union.
