The mitonyms on the Aydın mountains toponyms and language study

The thesis which supported by Ege University Coordination Scientific Research Projects, "The Mitonyms on the Aydın Mountains Toponyms and Language Study" is a toponymy study which scopes of 166 place names was emerged from the various beliefs. The introduction to the thesis contains general information about the thesis. In the first chapter of thesis toponymical stratigraphy of Aydın Mountains's place names is given. In the second chapter of thesis the place names are classified according to sub-types of toponymy as Ekklezionims, Hidronims, Oronims, Horonims and Dromonims. The lectical and semantic meanings of names and sources have been analysed in the third chapter of this study and the meanings of names was determined. In fourth chapter of this thesis names which in the thesis were analysed grammatically and phonetical. In the conclusion general assessment was made in the light of obtained findings.
