Investigation of occupational health and safety practices of some agricultural machinery manufacturers in Aydın

Objective: This research was carried out with the aim of determining the deficiencies and determining the current situation by comparing the practices in the light of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the relevant communiqués and regulations with the occupational health and safety practices carried out by some agricultural machinery manufacturers in Aydın. Material and Methods: The material of the study consists of 19 enterprises that manufacture agricultural machinery registered in the Chamber of Industry and Söke Chamber of Commerce in Aydın province and its districts. A face-to-face survey method consisting of 68 questions was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained from the questionnaires were evaluated in computer environment by using the EXCEL program. Results: In the research; ıt consists of demographic characteristics of the participants, business structures, produstion departments, information on occupational health and safety practices and data obtained within the framework of businesses for work accidents and occupational diseases. Conclusion: It was observed that the company responsible for the research lacked information about the occupational health and safety law, the level of implementation of the measures in the companies was not at a sufficient level, the employer and employee did not fully know their obligations, and controls and audits were not carried out effectively.
