Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is evaluation of some pysical properties of women aged between 30-40 and making sport for healty life in Aydın. Total 202 women whose ages are ranged between 30-40 and having occupations in bureaus and actively working in Aydın were subjected to this research. Women were seperated to two groups as experiment (n=101) and control (n=101). Each groups have been formed from 51 bureau workers and actively field workers. Occupation group of actively workers include nurses, doctors and teachers, and occupation group of bureau workers include civil cervants weorking at Office like bank clarcks or other bureau workers. Women subjected to research were seperated to married and single. Experimantal group women who were started to sport for healty life has subjected to some physical measures before and after 8 weeks program. Measured physical properties were height, weight, scinfold measurements (biceps, triceps, abdomen, suprailiac, subscapular and femur), compass measurements (shoulder, chest, waist, stomach, hip, femur and arm). Women at experimental group were subjected to 3 days in a week aerobic program throughout 8 weeks. Control group were also subjected to before and after tests. Hovewer, women at control group were not subjected to aerobic exercise program. According to results, while excercise has effects on stomach, hip, height and weight measures, it has no effect on femur measures.Key Words: Excercise, physical fitness, body composition
