Abstract (EN)
Ayla Kutlu is a successful writer who has given many works in Turkish literature such as novels, stories and memories. In particular, the author included problems in society in her stories and made the reader think and question on these problems. Our study consists of five main sections. After having an idea of the review in the introduction section, in the second part an idea of the author's life, works and storytelling will be gained. In the third part, general information about Historical Criticism, Sociological Criticism and Marxist Criticism will be given from the methods of criticism towards society. In the fourth chapter titled Ayla Kutlu'nun Öykülerinde Toplumsal Eleştiri, four story book titled Hüsnüyusuf Güzellemesi (1984), Sen de Gitme Triyandafilis (1990), Mekruh Kadınlar Mezarlığı (1995) and Zehir Zıkkım Hikâyeler (2001) will be examined in the context of social criticism. This review will be conducted through the events and concepts that influence society with thirty-five stories in four story books.
