Abstract (EN)

This research has been carried out on the effects of marigold plant (Calendula officinalis) in Siirt conditions on agronomic traits of nitrogen doses. This study was conducted in 2019 in Siirt University, Faculty of Agriculture. The experiment was carried out in randomized block design with four replications. Five different doses of nitrogen, 0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg/ha were applied. In the study, first flowering time (day), 50% flowering time (day), plant height (cm), flower number per plant (number/plant), single flower weight (g), fresh flower yield (kg/ha), dry flower yield (kg/ha), essential oil rate (%), essential oil yield (L/da) are recorded in the experimental. A statistically significant difference was found between nitrogen doses in all parameters examined. According to the result first flowering time, 50% flowering time, plant height, flower number per plant, single flower weight, fresh flower yield, dry flower yield, essential oil rate, essential oil yield were changed between 38.3-43.5 day, 52.5-57.5 day, 24.65-32.33 cm, 53.00-99.50 number/plant, 0.51-0.68 g, 2486.0-5019.0 kg/ha, 502.7-1187.2 kg/ha, 0.08-0.11%, 43.5-129.9 L/ha respectively. In the ecological conditions of Siirt province, 150 kg/ha nitrogen dose was determined to be sufficient in marigold cultivation. Keywords: Calendula officinalis, nitrogen, fresh flower yield, dry flower yield, essential oil rate
