Syntactic analysis of Bahaeddin Özkişi's work, "Sokakta"

The field of science called linguistics has got parts like phonetics, morphology, semantics and syntax in itself. Each of these parts undertake considerable functions within the structure of the language. All these parts should be taken into consideration in the studies related with the language. However, in this study, considering that the subject is highly comprehensive, we have analyzed it only syntactically. Our study consists of five parts. In the first section that we call ?introduction part?, a general information about syntax has been given. In the second section, a summary of the sources we have utilized in our study has been given. In the third section, after giving information about the life of Bahaeddin Özkisi, who is the writer of the work named ?Sokakta?, which we have analysed, the work has been summarised. Later on, the method that we have used during the analysis of the work has been stated. Our main thesis text is given under the title of ?Findings and Argument.? First, the sentences have been examined structurally as simple sentences, joined sentences (arranged and tied sentences), answer and intermitted sentences and after that the elements of the sentences which compose the sentences as ? subject, predicate, object, indirect object, adverbial object? and external sentence elements have been analysed. In the last section of the fourth part, sample sentences have been built for the terms defined from the work that we have searched thoroughly. The fifth part is the conclusion part. Here, syntactical features of the work that we have analysed have been shown by the graphics numerically. Sample sentences have been quoted from Bahaeddin Özkisi?s work named ?Sokakta?. There is also a bibliography at the end of the study.
