Abstract (EN)

The foundations of graphic design go back to the first shapes carved into cave walls. Graphic design, which has undergone many changes since then, has been particularly affected by technological developments. The industrial revolution, the development of printing techniques, and the invention of the camera can be considered important turning points. On the other hand the invention of the computer has prepaid the groundwork for a radical change in graphic design. Software developed for graphic design has given the first signals of digital transformation as computer technology has advanced and begun to enter daily life. The design process has started to move from the drawing table to the computer screens, and the designs made with the contribution of the internet connection can be moved to the world stage with a single click. Today, computer screens are no longer the last stage before printing, they have become the last form in which we can see the design. In light of all these developments, There was no way graphic design could not be influenced visually. In this study, the process from the beginning of graphic design to the present day, especially after the invention of the computer, how it entered a process of change and how digitalization visually impacted graphic design has been examined. The visual results of the digital revolution are emphasized by showing the designs made by important artists before and after digitalization.
