Abstract (EN)
Noise is one of the factors that affect our life, working environment, health, psychology and the environment we use socially. The aim of this study is to use various waste materials (polyurethane foam, polystyrene, egg storage carton) in order to prevent noise and to reveal their noise preventing capacities. For this purpose, an artificially noisy environment was provided, waste isolation materials were used between the noise source and the measuring device, measurements were made in the environment, the results were recorded, and the effect levels of the materials on noise reduction were revealed. According to the research results; In measurements made at distances between 1 and 4 meters, it was observed that the egg packaging material reduced the noise by 6 dB, the zinc foam material 8 dB, and the styrofoam material 5 dB. Thus, it has been concluded that these materials can be recycled and used for isolation purposes, so that the employees in the building and facility are less affected by noise and work in a more comfortable and healthy environment, and in this case, it can also contribute to the cost of isolation.
