Abstract (EN)

In this study, Ankara-Istanbul highway was chosen as the pilot area and A triplex, Chenopodhtm, Xanthium, Diplotaxis, Conyza, Medicog, Cohitea and Convolvulus which are plants growing in this area was examined. The plants which consist of root, body and leaves were taken as a whole and when a sample was made, equal forts were taken from root, body and leaf at all plants. After samples were roasted at 800 degrees of Celsius in an oven, they were dissolved with HNO3-HCIO4. At the last part excess amount of acid was vaporized then samples were prepared by being diluted with distilled water in conical flask and lead amount was determined by means of DPP. The relation between lead amount and types of plants was examined and type / types of plants which has/have the greatest amount of lead determined. After that, natural life span, range and abundance of these plants were sought and Atriplex and Xanthium were chosen as suitable plants. By the way in the addition how lead absorption of plants alters getting away from edge of the highway was examined and one correlation was set up.
