Abstract (EN)

Biofilm-forming abilities, one of the virulence factors, have gained considerable importance in recent years. As biofilm makes bacteria more resistant to antibiotics and disinfectants, there is a need for alternative methods to prevent biofilm formation. In order to prevent biofilm formation, it is important to use disinfectants at appropriate concentration and contact time. In this study; The aim of this study was to investigate the duration and duration of action of disinfectants and ozone in S.aureus and P.aeruginosa strains of different concentrations of the most frequently used in the hospital. The results of the study revealed that antimicrobial efficacy was faster than that of all disinfectants using ozone. Among the disinfecting agents, peracetic acid having antimicrobial activity in the fastest time and orthafitalaldehyde, ethyl alcohol, glutalaldehyde and hydrogen peroxide respectively. In addition, the biofilm formation ability of microorganisms produced at the end of contact times and the ability to produce biofilm prior to disinfectant contact were evaluated and the disinfectants were not effective in preventing biofilm formation. As a result; This is one of the rare studies investigating the effects of disinfectant and ozone on contact times and the biofilm formation of disinfectants. Key words : Microorganism, Disinfection, Ozone, Activity time, Biofilm
