Abstract (EN)

As consumer needs and demands increase, the impact on the environment and natural resources also increases. Environmental deterioration has lasting effects on the world, such as changes in natural balance, climate change, drought, and species extinction. These changes are accelerated by increasing population and resulting increased consumer demand. Turkey's strategies for environmental protection, natural resource management, and sustainable development should be approached in a way that does not hinder the country's future economic development, and priority areas should be determined and developed based on environmental priorities. In this context, the study examined the levels of sustainable environmental attitudes among physical education and sports college students. The sample of the study consists of 293 students who are studying at Dicle University in Diyarbakir. According to the results obtained, it was found that the level of sustainable environmental attitudes statistically significantly differs according to age, department of education, status of receiving environmental education, and average grade, but does not significantly differ according to gender.
