Abstract (EN)

This study has been conducted on ritualistic dance performances beginning with primitive tribes to modern ages in context with Performance and the Art of Body defending it as art, in actuality. It suggests an avant-garde hypothesis of art, rather then the traditional aesthetic concept approach by lifting the boundaries between life and art in light of using the body directly as an artistic experience in operational driven applications. All through the study the research question as to who is the master of the body, the body is used as an instrument of rebellion and attributes to the research on the Art of Performance. The theoretical frame has been drawn from philosophers such as Michel Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu with concepts on bio-power, panopticon and habitus.
