Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between Individuality-Adjustment Needs, Focus Control and Expression of Emotions among university students. The data were analyzed according to the relational screening model. The study group of the study consisted of 348 students in the age range of (17-30) between 198 women (56,9%) and 148 men (42.5%) studying in Mersin and Arel University. Participants were identified by appropriate / accidental sampling method. "Social Approval Scale", "Autonomous-Relational Individuality-Scale, "Emotion Expression Scale "And Focus of Control Scale" were used to collect data for the study. Social Approval Scale consists of three sub-dimensions including Sensitivity to Social Reasoning, Social Retraction and Positive Impression and 25 other items. Autonomous-Relational Individuality-Scale consists of three sub-dimensions named Self-Related Individuality, Autonomous Individuality, and Self-Related Self Emotion Expression Scale and 27 other items The Focus Control Scale consists of three sub-dimensions named Positive Emotion Expression, Affection Expression and Negative Affect and 15 other items. It also includes two subscales and 47 other items. Its dimensions are Internal Control Focus and External Control focus. The "T" test was used to determine whether the ages of the students were differentiated according to gender. In the analysis of data; Pearson Moments Multiplication Correlation Analysis was used to investigate the relationships between variables. According to the results of the research, whilst there was a negative correlation between the Self-Related Self dimension and the Autonomous Individuality, there is a positive correlation between the sensitivity of others, sensitivity of leaving positive impression, autonomous-relational individulatiy, positive emotion expression, affinity and negative amotion expression. Whilst there was a significant negative correlation between autonomous self-image and sensitivity to others perceptions, social withdrawal, positive repetition, associated individuality, internal focus control, there is a positive correlation between autonomous and relational individuality. Whilst there was a significant negative correlation between Autonomous-Relational individuality dimension and Social Retraction, Internal Focus Control, and External Focus Control; There is a significant positive correlation between the associated individuality, Autonomous individuality, positive Emotion Expression, Proximity Emotional Expression and Negative Affect Expression. Multiple regression analysis was used to determine the predictive levels of the variables. According to the results of this study: Autonomous individuality; Susceptibility to Internal judgment, Internal Focus Control, and External Focus are predicted. Associated individuality, Sensitivity and proximity to the judgment of others are predicted. Autonomous-Relational individuality; Proximity Emotion Expression, Internal Focus Control, Positive Emotion Expression and Social Retraction are predicted.
