Abstract (EN)

This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of academic studies on financial literacy, covering the period 1997 to 2025. Initially, the content of 164 scientific articles was analyzed to review the research literature related to the study variables. Subsequently, 4341 articles were analyzed using data from the Web of Science database. These analyses aimed to discover publication patterns, collaborative networks between authors and institutions, and common topics or keywords. The data were analyzed using the Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer software. The findings of this study reveal that the publication of articles on financial literacy has increased significantly, especially after 2018, indicating the increasing attention of researchers to this field. Additionally, frequently used keywords such as "financial literacy", "financial education", and "financial inclusion" were identified, which indicate the main areas of research. In addition, most of the articles come from the fields of economics (1474 articles), business finance (931 articles) and business (706 articles). University of Pennsylvania has the most cited articles (7395 times), followed by George Washington University (5942 times) and Dartmouth College (3979 times). Prominent and highly cited authors such as Lusardi, A. and Mitchell, O. S. were identified as well.
