Effect of the roundhouse diagrams aided with computer on 9th grade students? achievement on ?Force and motion?

The main aim of this study is to investigate effect of the roundhouse diagrams aided with computer on students? physics achievement on ?Force and Motion?. For this purpose, two groups one of them is control and the other is experiment were contructed from 9th grade students who studied in general high school in Diyarbakır province. While the courses of the control group were being processed with activities according to usual curriculum, at experiment group, courses were processed with the help of the contstructed roundhouse diagrams which contains concepts of the subject. In this study which ?Force and Motion? subject is handled, an achievement test consisting of 20 multiple-chose questions on ?Force and Motion? were applied as pre and post-test to determine the changings of students achievements. At the end of the study, it was determined that raoundhouse diagrams aided with computer had significant contribution on 9th grade students? achievement on ?Force and Motion? . In the study, except multiple-chosen test, an another test consisting of 20 filling the blanks and true-wrong types of questions was applied to students as pre and post test, and it was seen that scores taken from this test was higher in favor of the experiment group (P<0.05). Addition to these tests: to determining the students? opinions on roundhouse diagram the student?s opinion survey was applied to experiment group. It was seen that students liked studying with roundhouse diagrams and they think that roundhouse diagrams are usefull technique to learn concepts.
