Abstract (EN)

Teaching and learning abstract concepts is both difficult and may be time consuming process. For changing students? this opinions and bringing their learning more permanent and easy, the technology may be integrated into the educational environment. Additionally, in terms of increasing students? contribution and interest to the teaching process, increased level of technology use in classrooms is encouraged.The aim of this study is to examine the effect of academic achievement of the students in the sixth grade math lessons on polygons through computer assisted teaching.Research in the 2009-2010 academic year at the Denizli Elementary School 6th grade reading, mathematics achievement and mathematics attitudes they adopted each other, showing equivalent distributions in two classes (6-C and 6-I) constitutes the total 66 people. Data collection "Mathematics Achievement Test", "Mathematics Attitude Scale" and "Computer-Aided Materials Activities" are used.The subject of ?Polygons? administered by experimental group with computer aided instruction, on the other hand students in control group learned the subject of ?Polygons? with traditional teaching method.The data were analyzed using statistical methods has reached the following findings.?Taking into account the developmental level of students prepared for computer-based training materials, students' motivation and attitudes towards mathematics have a significant impact on.?Students' level of development taking into account the prepared computer-based training materials in line with the planned lesson activities with the academic results obtained success, the current classroom environment, the traditional teaching methods with the faculty as a result of the success is higher than that.
