Abstract (EN)

Energy is a basic need used in many fields from past to present. Therefore, the demand for energy is gradually increasing. Although today this energy demand is mainly met from fossil fuels, it can also be met by different methods such as nuclear power plants, geothermal power plants, solar and wind energy production facilities. However, in order to meet the energy demand under optimum conditions, low cost and high efficiency energy must be obtained. Drilling works to be carried out after the determination of geothermal resources constitute an important part of the cost. In this study, it is aimed to examine the optimum cost as a result of the general characteristics of the drilling process and the widespread use of geothermal drilling as a sustainable environmentally friendly energy source. Here, the most important cost parameters were examined in detail and their effects on the drilling cost were evaluated.
