Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is the professional performance of 4-6 year old Qur'an course teachers as a craft and their training for doing this profession. From this point of view, the aim of our study is to evaluate the professional experiences of the people who graduated from the faculties of theology and were appointed to teachers the Qur'an courses and how they to give the meaning of these. In this study, the phenomenological research method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Snowball technique and criterion sampling, which are among the purposeful sampling types, were applied. The study group of the research is 27 Quran course teachers working in 11 different cities. As a result of the questions asked to the participants in the interview, two themes emerged. These themes were addressed in the form of education and performance. The education theme is divided into institutional (theology) and individual education categories. Institutional education (theology education), distance, longing, atrophy, inefficient (deficiency) were handled with sub-codes. Individual training is evaluated as certificate, seminars and individual effort. The performance theme has been handled as in-class material elements, moral elements, out-of-class elements and qualities that contribute to performance performance according to the teachers. In-class material elements related to performance have been interpreted as pedagogical competence and its sub-codes, experience and ability codes. In-class spiritual elements related to performance are expressed with sub-codes of intimacy, building the future, emotional motherhood, lifestyle, satisfaction and enthusiasm. Out-of-class elements related to performance have been interpreted as relationship with parents and its sub-codes, economy, career and institutional relationship. According to the instructors, the qualities that contribute to the performance are considered as strength, sacrifice, interest, care, patience, and renewability. It has been seen that the bond that the teachers established with their theology education caused them to look at them from a different perspective in evaluating and performing their profession. In this context, some suggestions are given in the conclusion part of the study.
