Analysis of individuals of marriage satisfaction ego status and self perception

In this study, it was aimed to examine individuals' marital satisfaction ego states and self-perceptions. The study group of the research consists of 1052 married individuals, 541 females and 511 males, who voluntarily participate to contribute to the research. "Marriage Life Scale", "Ego States Scale", "Social Comparison Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used to collect research data. In the analysis of the data, One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Independent Sample t-test, Correlation and Multivariate Linear Regression Analysis techniques were used. As a result of the analysis made according to the scores the participants got from the scales in terms of some personal variables; the mean of the foster parent and rebellious child ego states subscales of women was higher; As the duration of marriage decreases, the mean natural child ego state subscale increases; positive between marital satisfaction and self-perception; positive between marital satisfaction and foster parent and adult ego status subscales; marital satisfaction and critical parent and golden child ego status subscales were also negatively correlated; self-perception and foster parent, natural child and adult ego states were positive with subscales; There is also a negative relationship between the rebellious child and golden child ego states subscales. Social comparison scale and rebellious child ego state subscale are seen as important predictors on marital satisfaction.
