Individual pension savings and investment system, presentation of the system in turkish press and the participation relationship

Social Security System is the one of the most important problems in Turkey in recentyears. Individual Pension Savings and Investment System, which is complementary to thestate social security system on the basis of voluntary participation and the definedcontribution principle, with a view to direct individual pension savings to investment toimprove the welfare level by providing a supplementary income during retirement tocontribute to economic development by creating long term resources for the economy andthereby increase employment is the one of the suggested solution of this problem that arousedmore interest in last year in the press and the society.The attention of the press to the individual security system during the first year of thepractice last year, that the press? approach, the definition and the adoption to the system, is themain research question of this study.The the relationship between the definition of the how the individual security systemthat started on October 27, 2003 covered in the press in recent one year and the arousing levelof the society to the system is found important for this study. In other words, the relationshipbetween the level of the press? interest and the society?s interest is the main concern of thisstudy.
