Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted in order to compare the effects of different dynamic stretching movement models on acute motoric performance in young male basketball players. 27 licensed basketball players between the ages of 11 December and 16 years, with an average age of 12.96 ± 1.81years, height of 164.92 ± 13.3cm and body mass of 55.74 ± 13.78kg participated in the study. Standard dynamic stretching (SDG) and combined dynamic stretching (BDG) protocols consisting of six movements were applied to the participants. 16 repetitions with a stretching time of 3 seconds were applied for each movement, in total in 1 set, at a Decelerating pace and with 10 seconds of active rest time between movements. The protocols were performed on separate days Decembers 3 days apart and active jump test (AST), squat jump test (ST), 30 meter speed test (30m ST) and 505 agility test (505 CT) were performed at 30 second intervals after each application. The normality distributions of the data were evaluated by Shapiro-Wilk test, t-test was used for AST and 30m ST tests with normal distribution, Wilcoxon test was used for other tests. In addition, Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated for AST and 30m ST, and Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated for ST and 505 CT in correlation analyses. Positive and statistically significant relationships were found between AST, ST, 30m ST and 505 Dec test results after the BDG and SDG protocols, r = 0.849, r = 0.817, r = 0.958 and r = 0.951, respectively (p<0.05). As a result, it was determined that SDG and BDG protocols had similar acute effects on strength, speed and agility in young male basketball players (p>0.05). Key Words: Basketball, Movement Model, Motor Performance Test
