Determining succes of biology teacher candidates on the subject of protein synthesis

This research is prepared to identify the success on the subject of protein synthesis of biology teachers candidates. A knowledge test is prepared within the teorical basics generated through the aims of research and results of literature review done. In preparation of knowledge test protein synthesis curriculum of Ministry of Education is based.For sampling, which is an important step of research, aimed sample method of Yıldırım and Şimşek (2004) is preferred. According to this method, it is possible to reach research results in a shorter time and in a more practical way. After sample choosing, inventory is prepared. This inventory includes a survey determining demographical features of teacher candidates and a konwledge test used to measure their success on protein synthesis. This inventory is performed to five grades in total in Gazi University Faculty of Education Department of Biology Education.With the results of research, within the scope of several parameters it is studied to determine protein synthesis success of biology teacher candidates. For this purpose applications are performed. In this process, SPSS program is used and for data analysis t-test and One-Way ANOVA methods are applied.Datas gathered by application are evaluated based on the quantitive analysis methods.
