Abstract (EN)
Blockchain is an emerging technology that is considered by many to be a disruptive core technology. Blockchain is one of the technologies that can support the digital transformation in industries in different ways. This advanced technology is thought to provide a decentralized, transparent and secure environment for organizations and businesses. In this study, an assessment has been conducted regarding the usage of the blockchain in port logistics in our country. The subject has been embodied by presenting examples from our country and the world. Eighteen port managers were interviewed by semi-structured interview technique with port managers in Turkey. In this qualitative research, the areas where the blockchain can contribute to the port logistics have been determined. At the same time, obstacles that may be encountered in blockchain applications in port logistics have been identified. It is expected that this study will benefit and light the way for researchers who want to study the usage of blockchain in maritime and port logistics in the future.
