Abstract (EN)

SMEs, known as small and medium-sized enterprises, have assumed the role of the locomotive of a country. When the problems experienced by SMEs are examined, the problems encountered in accessing resources are highlighted. One solution for SMEs to survive, grow and ensure sustainability is to overcome these difficulties. It has been observed that this situation is of vital importance for SMEs. The aim of this study is to determine what kind of problems SMEs face in accessing which resources and to support the growth of SMEs that direct the country's economy with the solution suggestions offered to these problems and to support them to progress with solid steps and thus to accelerate regional development by strengthening SMEs, which are the main actors of the priority regions in development. In the study, 281 manufacturing SMEs operating in Batman province were reached through a survey method. According to the analysis results of the data obtained from the surveys, it was observed that SMEs had significant financing problems in the first place, and this problem was followed by the supply of qualified personnel and branding. In this context, it was observed that public and relevant private institutions did not take on the responsibility in terms of financing, the relevant institutions were inadequate in terms of training qualified personnel according to the pulse of the market and bringing them together with SMEs, and ıt has also been observed that SMEs are not provided with the mentoring they need to become brands and open up to the world. Thus, it is expected that the solution suggestions for various resource problems identified as a result of the research will develop SMEs in Batman province within the boundaries of the research and shed light on the regional development plan.
