Abstract (EN)
In this study, boric acid was added to the rainbow trout diet at the rates of 0.00%, 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.10% and 0.20% and fed for 90 days. The effects of boric acid on rainbow trout growth parameters and nutritional composition were investigated. The growth parameters in the study were as follows: live weight gain (WG), feed intake amount, feed conversion ratio, protein activity ratio (PER), specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate, economic conversion rate (ECR) and economic profit index ( EPI) were investigated. The total crude protein, lipid, crude ash and moisture content were calculated as nutrient content. Rainbow trout with an initial weight of 92.04± g reached 195.05 ± 1.69 g, 202.69 ± 1.94 g, 217.53 ± 2.84 g, 195.25 ± 2.18 g and 181.20 ± 1.89 g respectively at the end of the research. The best growth performance was observed in the group supplemented with 0.05% boric acid while the lowest growth performance was observed in the group supplemented with boric acid at 0.20%. The highest feed intake was observed in the control group while the lowest feed consumption was observed in the group supplemented with boric acid by 0.20% and the feed conversion ratio of 0.05% in the group supplemented with boron. Protein ratios of fish in the study were; 17.96 ± 0.005%, 18.16 ± 0.008%, 18.35 ± 0.066%, 18.26 ± 0.098% and 18.06 ± 0.012%, respectively. The moisture contents of fish meat are; 77,7 ± 0,051%, 77,15 ± 0,004%, 76,25 ± 0,03%, 77,17 ± 0,12% and 77,52 ± 0,020%, fat ratio 2,47 ± 0,007%, 2,81 ± 0,043, 3, 39 ± 0,006%, 2,59 ± 0,054% and 2,37 ± 0,038%, and crude ash ratios; 1,60 ± 0,007%, 1,79 ± 0,010%, 1,90 ± 0,007%, 1,94 ± 0,009% and 2,023 ± 0,001%, respectively.
