Reflections of brecht aesthetics on Turkish cinema

Bertolt Brecht, is an artist who effected the art of theatre as usual the aesthetics ofcinema. With his theory, Brecht, rejected the classical dramatic structure based on mimesis,identification and, catasis. And, he manifested an alternative dramatic structure which isaiming to keep the audiences active by the alienation effect. From acting, text, make up, and,decor to ligthing, he used an unusual approaches to every element. Besides he put theinterrupted structure, episodic narration, instead of continuous narration based on unity ofplace, time and location.Meanwhile, aesthetical theory of Brecht, showed its effects on the World Cinema. Healso inspired cinema studies made for an alternative to the classical cinema, which have beenusing the dramatic structure since the 20. century. Althought he did not make any movie film,he acted as a scriptwriter actively therefore gave the idea of appliances of his theory to thecinema. The effects of his ideas can be seen in especially in New Wave Stream. This studywas conducted to investigate the reflections of Brecht aesthetics on Turkish Cinema.
