Narrative techniques of Buket Uzuner's novels

11 SUMMARY Buket Uzuner is one of the writers who takes a right place for herself among the contemporary woman writers in Modern Turkish Literature. In our thesis that we have prepared, we tried to examine by analysing the four novels of Buket Uzuner from the point of view of the norrative techniques. (İki Yeşil Susamuru, Balık İzlerinin Sesi, Kumral Ada-Mavi Tuna, Gelibolu). By thinking the necessity of studying and searching about our contemporary writers and their arts, we tried to expose the variety of events, her style of using the techniques that only belongs to art of novel and her effort in showing the richness and beauty of Turkish language in Buket Uzuner' s novels in the direction of novels that we tried to analyse. In the works of Buket Uzuner who is accepted one of the representatives of post-modernism, especially her knowledge that she reflects to her novels and richness of her power of imagination call attention. As all the writers' novels, Buket Uzuner' s novels also come into existence with reflecting her life, her knowledge that is occured by seaching, the way that she looks life and the features of the period that she lives in. That is why Buket Uzuner, whose name is previovsly mentioned, has a great importance in Modern Turkish Literature with essay-writing.
