Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine aflatoxin M1 from which feed raw materials used in 20 dairy cows operating in Burdur province, to detect levels of aflatoxin M1 in the milk of animals consuming these feeds and to examine the relationship between feed and milk. It also examines the risks of toxicity. Samples were taken from feed types and milk tanks used by all enterprises in their rations. As a result of analysis, aflatoxin was found in 68,23% of the feed samples. The aflatoxin analysis was performed for the raw materials forming the rations used by the enterprises and the total aflatoxin B1 intake was calculated by multiplying the daily feed consumption with the measured aflatoxin B1 values and collecting the obtained values. Feed samples taken from enterprises the minimum amount of aflatoxin B1 was detected to be 0,108 µg /day and the maximum 22,6921 µg/day. Aflatoxin M1 was detected in 13 (65%) of 20 milk samples taken from the enterprises. Besides, the amount of aflatoxin M1 was found to be the minimum 0.0164 ng/l and the maximum was 0,1772 ng/l in milk samples. Total aflatoxin M1 excretion was found by multiplying the daily milk yields with aflatoxin M1 values measured in milk. The amount of total aflatoxin M1 was found to be the minimum 0,286 ng/day and the maximum was 3,7212 ng/day in milk samples. As a result of this study, it was determined that aflatoxin B1 in the fodder passes at the minimum 0,04% and the maximum at 0,7% in aflatoxin M1. In order to reduce the amount of transition, it was recommended that decrease the formation of aflatoxin in storage of feed raw metarials and toxin binder could be used to reduce the amount of aflatoxin M1 in milk.
