Investigation of the outdoor levels and effects of match noise in Bursa metropolitan Civic Arena stadium

Stadiums are important and necessary structures that are the main physical and sociocultural activities in cities and show the potential of being the focus of the architectural elements of the city. At the same time, stadiums have many urban and environmental problems due to their construction costs, area size, high capacity and usage density. Especially the noise that occurs on the days of the match draws attention among these problems. In this study, it was aimed to determine the noise levels caused by the match noise in Bursa Metropolitan Timsah Arena Stadium in the outdoor environment. In this context, measurements were made to determine the noise levels around the stadium before, during and at the end of the match and the results were interpreted statistically. In addition, a survey was conducted to examine the effect of match noise in the stadium on the surrounding settlements and to determine the opinion and attitude of the people in the settlement. It has been interpreted what kind of effect there is between the results obtained as a result of the survey and the noise levels measured during the match. In addition, the fact that a study has not yet been carried out to determine the noise level around the stadium for Bursa province and to investigate its effect on the environment, it is thought that this study will make an important contribution to the literature.
