Abstract (EN)

In today's business world where competition in a global sense is constantly increasing, organizations need to develop and implement appropriate strategies on time to survive and gain desired sustainable competitive advantage. Failure to apply the desired strategy leads to loss of opportunities in businesses, making it difficult to maintain priorities and achieve corporate goals. Organizations apply various growth strategies to reach high organizational performance levels. In dynamic strategic management processes, for a decided growth strategy to be successfully implemented, organizational structure and logistics strategies that may have a positive impact on adding direction, speed, and value to the strategy should be structured with a holistic approach, focused on performance. Strategic planning in literature is widely studied, but research made on strategy implementations subject and also in the aviation sector remains limited. It has been investigated in the context of the aviation sector whether logistics strategies have a moderator effect and organizational structure has an intermediary effect on the effect of growth strategies on organizational performance in this research. The main purpose was to contribute to the expansion and improvement of the literature with the findings obtained by research. For this, in the scope of strategy applications, a research model and hypotheses to test the model were developed and the effects of strategy, structure, and performance in organizations were examined. The universe of the research is the enterprises in the aviation sector in Turkey, the analysis unit is organization level, and a full count has been made. In this cross-sectional field study, the data were collected online with the survey technique, and the study was carried out with 133 enterprises with the involvement of business managers. The obtained data were tested with the SmartPLS Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling statistical method and path analysis was performed. In the research, after the theoretical and conceptual framework was established, the data were collected and analyzed in the field and interpreted by making inferences from the findings. In the process of implementing growth strategies of aviation companies that participated in our study, it has been determined that the formalization and hierarchical centralization levels of organizational structures have a partial mediation effect on organizational performance, while logistics strategies do not have a moderator role. Based on research findings, it can be deduced that the strategic top managers of the aviation sector can add value to their organizations by taking advantage of the opportunity to create a formal and hierarchical organizational structure, and thus achieve the desired organizational performance levels.
