Abstract (EN)

1. The motifs used in various geographies of the world sometimes come up with different meanings and structures. The features and meanings conveyed by these structures give us information about the mythical properties of that geography. As these structures enable us to make comments about the cultural, social and spiritual characteristics of societies; these common motifs, views on common figures, also contribute to the study of comparative mythology. It is possible to see a fish figure in many of the world civilizations. As in other mythologies, fish has been associated with "creation" and isinde flood u in Turkish mythology. The meaning attached to the fish carries a mythological and religious value. In this respect, fish have gained meaning as an object of importance for past communities. In this study, the transformation of the fish myth, which is a common motif in the world mythology, which is usually in the subjects of creation and deluge, in the art of painting is explained.
