Abstract (EN)

This study came in the race to reveal the nature of political life in the pre-Islamic era, and to show its manifestations in ancient Arabic literature, poetry and prose. The study consists of an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction deals with the topic, importance and purpose of the thesis, after those previous studies and the followed approach. The first chapter: introduces the concept of politics and homeland in language and terminology, and explains their origins in the pre-Islamic era, while providing brief historical information about the forms of political systems in the Arabian Peninsula (the monarchy and the tribal system), and the entities operating within them, in addition to tell about foundations on which the monarchy and tribal systems are based. Such as inheritance, sovereignty, prevailing law, tribalism, consultation and its councils, and proving all of the above with appropriate poetic and prose evidence. The second chapter: talks about the nature of the political conflict in the pre-Islamic era and its types, such as the struggle over the leadership of the tribe in the same house, the conflict between the different tribes, the conflict with the neighboring Arab or non-Arab kingdoms such as the Persians or the Romans, and the religious political conflict, in addition to dealing with some political phenomena in the pre-Islamic era by research and study as a phenomenon Political debates, political alliances, political asylum, and criticism or political opposition. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the concept of political literature and its types, such as pride, praise, lamentation, and political satire, and the representation of these topics with appropriate literary evidence. Conclusion: It contains a statement of the most important results emerging from the study, VI such as revealing the development of political life among Arabs in pre-Islamic times, and explaining the great impact of political life and its phenomena in enriching Arabic literature.
