Abstract (EN)
It has become critical to cooperate with employees with high emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior to achieve sustainable business success and to maitain competitive advantahe in this rapidly growing and changing retail sector. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of emotional intelligence levels and organizational citizenship behaviors on employee performance within retail sector. A questionnaire consisting of 68 questions was applied to the employees of the leading companies of the sector. A total of 318 questionnaires were evaluated and their reliability and validity were checked in SPSS 21 program by factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis methods. The resuılts conclude that emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior have a significant and positive effect on employee performance. In this way, it has been verified that improving the emotional intelligence performance of the employees and development of organizational citizenship behaviors in the retail sector have become significant.
