Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between the leadership orientations of the employees and their psychological resilience levels. Relational screening model was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 360 volunteer participants, 158 female and 202 male, who are under the Ministry of Interior in 2021. The "Multidimensional Leadership Orientations Scale" (MLOS) developed by Dursun, Günay and Yenel (2019) was used to determine the leadership orientations of the participants. The "Brief Resilience Scale" (BRS) developed by Smith et al. (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Doğan (2015) was used to determine the levels of resilience. The data were analyzed with the SPSS-22 package program. Before the analysis of the data, a normality test was performed and it was observed that the data were normally distributed. While analyzing the data, "T-test for Independent Samples", "One Way Analysis of Variance", "Pearson Correlation test" and "Multiple Regression" analyzes were used. According to the results of the analysis, the employees mostly preferred the "human-based leadership" orientation. The psychological resilience levels of the employees were moderate. A significant difference was found between the leadership orientations and psychological resilience levels of the participants, their gender, marital status and the units they worked in. In addition, while there was a significant difference between the variable of having an administrative task and leadership orientation of the participants, there was no significant difference with their psychological resilience levels. A significant relationship was found between the ages of the participants and their leadership orientation and psychological resilience scales. Finally, it has been determined that the "political leadership" and "human-based leadership" sub-dimensions of the leadership orientations scale have an effect on the psychological resilience levels.
