Investigation of soil properties of Uluyazi Campus Area, Çankırı Karatekin Üniversity

The geotechnical department was formed with the combination of the approaches of engineering disciplines. Before the geotechnical department was formed, soil behavior and characteristics were followed by geological engineers, while structural design was followed by civil engineers. Soil mechanics formed the basis of the geotechnical department. The geotechnical department led by Karl Terzaghi. Recent years in Turkey, the collapse of structures built on the creek, collapse of tunnels and similar problems included in the geotechnical department. In this study, The ground survey of Çankırı Karatekin Üniversitesi At Uluyazı Campus was analyzed. Possible problems were determined according to the geotechnical report. The ground characteristic was determined. The soil bearing capacity was calculated. The result was inspected for compliance with turkish earthquake regulations. The ground settlement was calculated. The basis of building was selected. The general geological structure of the ground was analyzed. The solution has been identified for possible problems.
