Abstract (EN)

In this study, which will be carried out in Çankırı-ŞabanözüÇaparkayı Village, which has semi-arid characteristics, it is aimed to determine the species that can adapt to the area and suitable for the growing environment by examining the soil characteristics of the area before afforestation. When determining these species, knowing the soil properties is important in terms of species selection. The study area has been determined as approximately 10ha and 2 soil profiles have been opened. As a result of the analyzes made in these profiles, the soils of the study area have medium texture and granular structure. The general area shows a >50% stony structure. The calcification is between 2.23-4.94% and the soil generally shows little or medium calcareous properties. The pH level is between 2.25-7.40 and it shows slightly alkaline properties. The amount of organic matter is between 4.79-7.33% and it is weak in terms of organic matter. According to the analysis, the soils have salt-free properties. Since the areas in question are areas that can be exposed to erosion, the existing plant community of the area will be protected and it has been determined that rosehip, almond and acacia species, which will affect the success positively, have been found in the area beforehand, and afforestation will be carried out on the same species.
