Abstract (EN)
In this study, '' CevÀhirü'l-ferìd fì-tıbbü'l-cedìd'' translated by Ömer Şifāì Bursevì, an Ottoman physician who lived in the 18th century, was examined. In this work of Şifāì is important in terms of laying the foundations of new medicine in the Western sense in the Ottoman Empire. This work of Şifāì is one of the works of translation medicine. The fact that no scientific studies have been done on the work before reveals the importance of the work. The work consist of 81 leaves and has thirty-one sections and a description section. In this work, the physician ŞifÀì,mentioned the manufacturing stage of the medicine used in the treatment of a number of diseases and made suggestions about which diseases should be used in the treatment of these diseases. In the study, the Library of the Millet library Ali Emîrî writing archive number 34 Ae Tıb 77 used as the original copy due to the fact that the number of the number of the leaf and the number of lines were bulky and that it was older in terms of the history of the copy or in some parts that are inaccurate. İn addition to introduction, this study consist of Review, Transcription, Index and Conslusion sections. İn the introduction, the history of Ottoman mecidine in general; scribal of the work; information abaout the content and copies. İn the examination section, spelling features of the work are mentioned. The Transcription section was the created. As the third section, an Index section was created in which the vocabulary of the work is classified according to its content. Finally, in the conslusion part, the data obtained on the occasion of the work are evaluated. Key words: Ömer ŞifÀì Bursevì, medicine, drug, compound.
