Abstract (EN)
In this study, phosphate removal with synthesized anionic clays named double layered hydroxides. Two different types of LDH are produced with traditional co-precipitation methods which are Mg-Fe LDH from MgCl2 - FeCl3 salts and Mg-Al LDH from MgCl2 - AlCl3 salts. Synthesized materials are classified by particle size with screening analysis and data obtained from adsorption experiments are applied to adsorption isotherms. %84 and 86 removal efficiencies were obtained with 0,5 g 125-180 µm Mg-Fe LDH and 0,05 g 125-180 µm Mg-Al LDH respectively. Adsorption of phosphate with Mg-Fe LDH is best described with Freundlich isotherm while Mg-Al LDH is best described with Langmuir isotherm. Adsorption capacities of 125-180 µm Mg-Fe LDH and 125-180 µm Mg-Al LDH are 3 mg/g ve 57,5 mg/g respectively.
