Reviews of diversity in children's literature: The example of Astrid Lindgren

Diversity; It is a state of being unique and unique. Since the emergence of humanity on the stage of history, individuals have come to the fore with some of their features and have been presented as different. A summary of the study should be given in this section. The state of being different in religion until the French Revolution left its place in the understanding of difference based on ethnic origin after the revolution. The understanding of skin color differences has emerged in recent history due to the European and American understanding of colonialism. Diversity studies were first divided into various categories toward the present, while walking through the main branches such as race and gender. In this context, in this study, difference analysis theory was gathered under four codes. Visible, unchangeable titles were handled in the internal dimension code, and the titles that were under the management of the person's own social environment were examined in the social dimension. While the differences that individuals can bring to the forefront of their individual abilities in the group are called the functional dimension, the attitude and value judgments formed by the person in the group are examined in the perceptual dimension. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the serial Turkish copyright works of Astrid Lindgren according to the difference analysis theory. In this qualitative study, the document scanning method was used as the data collection technique and content analysis technique was used in data analysis. Selected by a simple random sampling method, Astrid Lindgren's "Pippi Longstocking", "Pippi Goes on Board", "Pippi in the South Seas", "That Boy Emil", "New Mischief by Emil", "Emil's Clever Pig", "The Children of Noisy Village", "More About the Children of Noisy Village" and "Cherry Time at Noisy Village" were examined according to the codes of internal dimension, social dimension, functional dimension and perceptual dimension. Within the scope of the study, it was concluded that all the difference codes exist in the works that make up the sample.
