Abstract (EN)

As one of the most active forms of direct marketing, multilevel marketing, also known as network marketing, is part of people's daily lives and is now widely practiced in Africa as in the rest of the world. Factors that support the rapid development of multilevel marketing in Africa include urbanization, unemployment rate, part-time work opportunities, income levels, communication tools and infrastructure. This study analyzed the reasons and perceptions of distributors for adopting this activity in terms of satisfaction, and examined the commitment of distributors working in this system in terms of satisfaction after their goals were not achieved within the allotted time. According to the data obtained as a result of the analysis, it was found that in Togo, the middle age group and men mainly work in this marketing system. At the same time, it was determined that most of the distributors were single and their education level was higher education. The analysis results also showed that care products and food supplements were the most common among the marketed product groups. The reason why multi-level marketing is so popular is not only that more and more people are looking for a source of passive income and a way to supplement their income, but also because of their desire to purchase products at low prices along with financial freedom. Another important finding is that the income earned by the majority of distributors in this marketing system is approximately 100 USD. Statistically, it has been found that the products distributed are consumed in daily life, the products used increase loyalty to the company, sponsor support is very important for distributors and contributes to advancement in status in the company. A certain commitment to multi-level marketing has been noted among distributors, despite the problems they may encounter in this activity, such as the mismatch between expectations and reality.
