Abstract (EN)
Political parties, which are the indispensable elements of democratic political life, fulfill the political functions of vital importance in democratic systems. Representative democracy is carried out by political parties, also the principle of pluralism, which is the characteristic of contemporary democracy, comes to life only through political parties. Therefore contemporary democracies is also called, "political parties democracy". However, as with all freedoms, there are limits to freedom of political organization and action. Using violence or using violence as a political tool constitutes the limit of this freedom. Other than these limitations are incompatible with democratic politics, political pluralism and political party freedom. In Turkey's political history numerous political parties has been established in each wing of the political spectrum. The existence of a significant part of these political parties has not ended as a result of the natural flow of politics, but with the interventions by outsiders. Turkey's intolerance of political opposition to the tradition and style, anti-pluralism, monistic understanding of politics leads to the implementation of various pressures on opposition political parties and frequent closure of political parties. After two unsuccessful attempts during the one-party republic, after the World War II, many political parties were formed after the multi-party political life; within these parties, Democratic Party came to power in the 1950 elections. The, "National Party" which was formed by the separation of a group within Demokratic Party, ended its political life with a court decision.
