Abstract (EN)

This research has been carried out in the boundaries of Ahmetçe Mikro basin in the province of Çorum, İskilip and Bayat districts. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the success / failure situations of the applied basin rehabilitation works as perspective of integrated watershed management. Therefore, primarily micro watershed projects and land application works on-site examinations were carried out.Within the scope of field studies, applications were examined on site, necessary negotiations were held with local people.Geology, soil, topography and foresty stand maps that belaong to Ahmetçe mikrobasin are examined. Accordingly, it has been understood that the watershed boundaries of the project areas have been determined and the water separation line has not been taken into consideration. Also according to the final report of the plan, it can be seen that not all of the planned work can be put into practice. It has been determined that the projects put into practice are not adequately shared with the local people. While the afforestation studies implemented within the scope of the project were successful, it was determined that rural development studies are inadequate. For the success of basin studies, people living in the basin must be included in the planning from the very beginning and a participatory approach to problem identification and remediation should be established. Especially women should be included when planning and solutions are determined. This is a basic condition for a participatory approach
