Abstract (EN)

Objective: This study was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the effect of the working environment of nurses working in hospitals on job satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic period. Materials-Methods: This descriptive and correlational research consists of 152 nurses working in hospitals between January and October 2021. Research data were collected using the "Descriptive Information Form", "Nurse Job Satisfaction Scale (HIDS)" and "Nursing Job Index-Nursing Work Environment Evaluation Scale". Results: The Nursing Job Satisfaction Scale total score (3.07±0.50) was high, while the Nursing Job Satisfaction Scale total score (2,28±0.40) was moderate. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the Nurse Job Satisfaction Scale Total score and the Nursing Job Index Total score. Working in the pandemic service, working at night and the high number of patients affect job satisfaction. Conclusion: As a result, the working environment of nurses is effective on their job satisfaction.
